www.nationalrevealed.com

Maharashtra – Chief Seceratary Mr Ajoy Mehta (IAS) released a new guidelines which will come into effect from 29th May, 2020. In the amendment of previous guidelines and this guidelines are specifically for Red Zones the letter said.

Although the letter turned out to be not duly signed and hence untrue but this was the circular and a lot of people on social media was rejoicing.

None of the Below Guidelines are true but looks like a great plan if signed.

In Red Zones except for malls and market complexes, all other markets, market areas and shops are permitted to operate at the level of 33% shops i.e. one-third of the strength of the shops, including non-essential on a given day with one of the following arrangements

Shops on one side of the road/lane/passages may be permitted to open on one day while shops on the other side of the road/lane/passages may be permitted to open on the next day and so on and the vacant side can be utilized for parking spaces and pedestrian movement.

  • All types of shops may be categorized in 2 or 3 groups and each group can be permitted to open on 3-days or 2-days respectively of the week
  • Any other Combination/Arrangement to be decided by Municipal Commissioner in consultation with Collector and Police Commissioner
  • Further in specific cases of congested markets where enforcement of social distancing norms and traffic management are difficult at permitted level of 33%, the percentage of non-essential shops to be opened can be suitably reduced within the permitted ceiling of 33% on case to case basis by Municipal Commissioner in consultation with Collector, and Police Commissioner
  • Timings for all permitted shops will be 9am – 5pm.
  • The shopkeepers will be responsible for ensuring social distancing norms in the shops. Shop-owners may make foot markings on the floor to ensure distancing and accordingly permit restricted number of customers in the shop at a given point of time.
  • If any crowding or failure of social distancing is seen, then authorities will immediately close down such shops/markets.
