Palghar, August 15, 2023 :- Independence Day was celebrated with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Palghar Zilla Parishad. The event witnessed the hoisting of the national flag by Zilla Parishad President Prakash Nikam, followed by a salute to the tricolor. The celebratory occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Chief Executive Officer Bhanudas Palve, Zilla Parishad Vice President Pankaj Kore, Social Welfare Committee Chairperson Manisha Nimkar, Women and Child Development Committee Chairperson Rohini Shelar, Construction and Health Committee Chairperson Sandesh Dhone, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Committee Chairperson Sandeep Pavde, Ati. Chief Executive Officer Ravindra Shinde, Zilla Parishad members, and department heads.
During his address, Zilla Parishad President Prakash Nikam extended his warm wishes to everyone present on the occasion of Independence Day. The ceremony also marked the culmination of the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign with the lighting of lamps and the taking of the Panch Pran oath by all dignitaries.
The event further highlighted a significant resolution passed during a general meeting on June 16, 2023. In accordance with this resolution, several key spaces within the Zilla Parishad premises were officially named. The Zilla Parishad General Hall has been renamed as Jananayak Birsa Munda Hall, the Committee Hall as Martyr Hall, and the main entrance as Shrimant Maharaj Yashwantrao Mukne Entrance. Notably, an inscription bearing the names of all Zilla Parishad members has been unveiled at the entrance, a poignant reminder of the collective effort that drives progress.
An additional highlight of the celebration was the recognition garnered by the Finance Department of Zilla Parishad for achieving an ISO rating. In honor of this accomplishment, certificates were awarded to officers and employees of the Finance Department by the distinguished dignitaries present.
The event culminated with the presence of officials and employees from Zilla Parishad, underscoring the unity and dedication that forms the cornerstone of their shared vision for a brighter future.
