Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Achieves Three ‘Best of India Records’ in ‘Indian Swachhata League 2’

Navi Mumbai :- In a remarkable feat, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has set three ‘Best of India Records’ in the ‘Indian Swachhata League 2’. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment of Navi Mumbaikars towards cleanliness and hygiene.

Under the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission,’ these achievements have been duly recognized on a national platform, elevating the city’s status. The Indian Swachhata League honored Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation with three ‘Best of India Records’ in various categories.

These records were awarded by Mr. B.B. Nayak, an internationally acclaimed sports personality and an examiner for ‘Best of India Records.’ Mr. Nayak presented these prestigious certificates to Municipal Commissioner Mr. Rajesh Narvekar in the presence of Ms. Sujata Dhole, Mr. Vijaykumar Mhasal, Dr. Babasaheb Rajale, Mr. Shirish Aradwad, and other officials.

The theme of ‘Indian Swachhata League 2’ was ‘Determined to be Number One.’ Navi Mumbai’s ‘Navi Mumbai Eco Knights’ actively participated in this league, where Padma Shri Shankar Mahadevan, a renowned musician and singer, served as the brand ambassador for the Swachh Navi Mumbai Mission. As part of this initiative, various cleanliness-related events were organized in the city, including the #YouthVersusGarbage campaign, focusing on engaging young people in the battle against litter.

To highlight the importance of cleanliness, a special event called ‘Clean Art Competition’ was organized in schools across Navi Mumbai, where students expressed their commitment to cleanliness through art. This initiative witnessed the participation of 1,83,144 students from 431 schools, earning yet another ‘Best of India Records’ recognition.

Additionally, the ‘Cleanliness Digital Oath’ event, held at the picturesque Wonder Park in Navi Mumbai, saw the participation of 26,133 citizens, taking a digital pledge for a cleaner city. This event achieved the highest number of digital pledges and secured a ‘Best of India Records’ certificate.

Furthermore, the municipal corporation is gearing up for another event called ‘Cleanliness Digital Pledge,’ which will contribute to Navi Mumbai’s growing list of achievements in the ‘Best of India Records.’

The people of Navi Mumbai have shown extraordinary enthusiasm and commitment to cleanliness, and these records serve as a testament to their dedication.
