Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Takes Action Against Unauthorized Constructions in Turbhe Division

Navi Mumbai :- In a recent development, the Turbhe division of the Navimumbai Municipal Corporation has initiated a crackdown on unauthorized constructions within its jurisdiction. Illegally constructed garages, hotels, bars, and restaurants on Pam Beach Road in Sector 19C have come under scrutiny as their owners failed to obtain the necessary approvals from the municipal authorities.

The existing unauthorized constructions had previously received notices under Section 54 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act of 1966. Despite being required to remove these unauthorized structures themselves, the owners continued their construction activities.

In response, the Turbhe division, in collaboration with the Regional and Town Planning Department, organized a special drive to take action against these unauthorized constructions. As a result, these illegal structures have been completely demolished with the assistance of laborers and heavy equipment.

For the failure to comply with the removal orders, a punitive fine of INR 72,09,850 has been imposed on the owners. To ensure the success of this operation, officials and employees from the Turbhe division, along with a police presence, were deployed.

This initiative signifies the municipality’s determination to address the issue of unauthorized constructions and highlights their commitment to enforcing urban planning regulations. Further actions to intensify such campaigns are anticipated in the near future.
