Vasai-Virar :-Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation, under the aegis of the Sports Department, is set to organize its annual Inter-School Arts and Sports Festival with the aim of fostering intellectual and physical development among students, nurturing athletes for national and international competitions.
The Virar Regional Arts and Sports Festival will be held from November 29 to December 4, 2023, while the Navghar-Manikpur Arts and Sports Festival is scheduled for December 5 to December 8, 2023. Additionally, a National Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation Marathon will be hosted on December 10, 2023. Following the marathon, from December 12 to December 17, 2023, the Nalasopara Regional Arts and Sports Festival will take place.
The planning for these arts and sports festivals involved collaborative meetings with sports and arts educators at the divisional level. The preparatory meetings for Nalasopara, Virar, and Navghar-Manikpur divisions are scheduled for October 18, 19, and 20, 2023, respectively.
Furthermore, in a bid to ensure maximum participation in the Inter-School Arts and Sports Festival and Marathon, the Sports Department encourages students to actively take part and make the events a grand success.
