Palghar :- On October 20, 2023, under the Health Screening Initiative, the District Council Office and Vyasanmukti Palghar organized an Oral Health Camp at the Palghar District Council office. The inauguration of this camp was graced by Mr. Prakash Nikam, the President of the District Council, and in the presence of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bhanudas Palve.
Both dignitaries actively participated in the camp, setting an example by first undergoing oral health check-ups before officially commencing the event.
Dr. Sanjay Bodade, the District Surgeon, and Dr. Santosh Chaudhari, the Health Officer, along with other medical professionals like Dr. Sachin Vaghmare and Dr. Shashikant Salukhe, were present to oversee the health check-ups.
The camp witnessed thorough check-ups of district council officials and employees. During the examinations, any oral health issues and their respective treatments were discussed, and guidance on maintaining oral health was also provided.
Furthermore, dentists Dr. Sagar Nagare, Dr. Meera Bhuyar, and Dr. Akshaya Meher, along with social worker Anjubai Chaudhari, coordinated the camp as part of the National Tobacco Control Program. Mr. Mayur Bonge played a key role in organizing the camp.
A significant aspect of the camp involved addressing the health implications of tobacco use among employees. Jayapal Singh Rajput provided valuable insights on the adverse effects of tobacco on health and offered guidance on tobacco cessation.
The cooperation of the District Council Office and Vyasanmukti Palghar ensured the success of this camp, furthering the cause of oral health awareness in the region.
