Palghar’s Sacred Soil Sets Sail for Delhi Dignitaries Unveil the Green Lantern

Palghar :- In the ongoing “My Soil, My Nation” campaign, which commenced on September 1st and runs until November 1st, under the able guidance of Palghar Zilla Parishad, the Amrut Kalash (sacred pot of nectar) representing every village in the district has now embarked on its journey to Delhi. Today, amidst the presence of key figures such as Zilla Parishad President Prakash Nikam, Khasdar Rajendra Gaavith, District Collector Govind Bodke, Chief Executive Officer Bhanudas Palve, the green lantern was unveiled in Mumbai, which will accompany the Amrut Kalash on its voyage.

Sanjeev Jadhav, Sub-District Officer, Dhannaraj Pandey, Chief Accounts Officer, and Sub-Chief Executive Officer (Panchayat) Chandrashekhar Jagtap, along with officials from Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation and other dignitaries, were present at this historic event.

In total, 10 Kalash pots, which included 7 from Municipal Corporations and Municipalities, and 3 from the Zilla Parishad, are en route to Delhi under the coordination of 21 dedicated volunteers led by Group Development Officer B.R. Koli.

Tomorrow, the sacred pots are set to journey to Mumbai, and on October 27th, the state-level Amrut Kalash Yatra program is scheduled to take place at August Kranti Maidan. Following this, in the evening, special trains will transport all the Kalash pots to Delhi.

For this journey, District Collector Govind Bodke urged the volunteers to handle the Kalash pots with great care, ensuring they remain unscathed. He emphasized the need for disciplined conduct during the voyage and provided instructions to the volunteers, reminding them that the honor of the Kalash is of paramount importance.

This marks a momentous occasion for Palghar as its sacred soil, along with the symbol of the green lantern, embarks on a significant journey to represent the district on a national platform.
